Hong Kong’s McDonald’s has just taken the wedding industry by storm. They are now offering engaged couples unique wedding packages so that they can celebrate their big day within the comfort of their favourite fast-food outlet.

The wedding package includes:

• A wedding gown made out of party balloons
• A wedding cake of baked apple pies (Caution: hot!)
• Catering
• Guest gifts (all kiddie-collectables, of course)

Alcohol is banned from McDonald’s, so champagne toasts are out of the question. However, when your main course is a Quarter Pounder Deluxe™, making toasts with Coca-Cola™ seems rather ‘par for the course’.

McDonald’s is a wedding venue that is likely to appeal to couples on a budget or to those for whom the traditional white wedding holds no excitement. It certainly is different, promising that your guests (and the rest of the McD’s diners) will remember it for a long time to come.
