Wedding video production is currently undergoing a major revolution around the world, including in Sydney. Wedding Videographers are employing a new generation of cinema quality DSLR cameras and filming weddings with the same high end lenses from Canon and Nikon that the leading Wedding Photographers use.

At Harbour City Films we are also engaged in the new wave of Cinematography with these top end cameras and lenses and are adopting a slightly different angle in their use than what seems to be mainstream with wedding Videographers in Sydney. Harbour City Films has always preferred very natural and totally candid Videography and we are committed to maintaining this very personal approach within the new cinematic style of wedding videos. Candid Videography requires a consistent attention to detail for sustained periods throughout the wedding day to ensure a quantity of footage is captured that retells not just the main formalities, but the genuine moments in between. Other Wedding Videographers employing the new cinematic style have moved towards using video clips in a random order within Sydney which seems to be a phenomenon within the wedding industry across the world. Perhaps we are nostalgic for the more candid style, but at Harbour City Films we are sticking firmly to reproducing the wedding in its original flow of events. This style of filming is taxing as it requires an increased volume of footage, but we feel the results are far superior with genuine, meaningful content creating a more interesting wedding video.
